The annual competition, L’Oreal Brandstorm, was back. From the total of 300 teams signed-up for this competition, Team Enorme, which consisted of Chevy Andhika, Raisa Nabila, and January Celeste (S1 Marketing 2011), managed to make their way to National Final and titled as Third Runner-Up at the competition. This year, L’Oreal Brandstorm brought Kiehl’s men’s grooming product as their main case.
The competition was divided into several stages, which included initial selection, Semifinal, and National Final. At the initial selection, those who are interested in joining this competition should submit proposal contained their ideas for men’s grooming product under Kiehl’s brand. As much as 300 proposals were received by the committee. Of a number proposals submitted, only nine teams were chosen to compete in Semifinal and presented their proposed product and communication strategy in front of the judges, and then went through the same process in National Final. At this competition, Tim Enorme raised baldness issue which turns out to be a quite scary issue for men. Tim Enorme came up with a potion to overcome baldness, which packaged in form of hair gel, called “Kiehl’s Hair Power”.
Apart from competition between the finalists, at the National Final L’Oreal was also held a competition for the most spirited supporters for each team. Students of S1 Marketing Prasetiya Mulya eagerly performed their yells to cheered Team Enorme. Though Team Enorme fairly disappointed for their failure in achieving the winner title, this competition was indeed a remarkable experience for Chevy, Raisa, and January, which just entered their fifth semester on their study.
