Pengalaman perdana menjadi \u2018<em>sales<\/em>\u2019 tersebut membuka matanya tentang keseruan menjajakan barang. Ditambah lagi, saat itu media sosial sedang naik daun dan ia pun mempelajari cara berjualan di media tersebut. Sayangnya, karena terlalu sibuk berjualan, aktivitas kuliah pria lulusan Institut Teknologi Telkom ini sempat terabaikan, sebelum akhirnya lulus pada 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tanpa menyia-nyiakan waktu, setelah mendapat persetujuan dari orang tua, Pras langsung melanjutkan studi di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/aclk?sa=l&amp;ai=DChcSEwiR0aaNzbv6AhWWmGYCHQt1DtgYABAAGgJzbQ&amp;sig=AOD64_2nsTXSkI6bC6YyUyMyN2RjSagN2g&amp;q&amp;adurl&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjTyZ-Nzbv6AhW2xDgGHbJND50Q0Qx6BAgFEAE\">MM Prasetiya Mulya<\/a> dengan konsentrasi <em>marketing<\/em>. Ia pun membulatkan tekad untuk mempelajari lebih dalam tentang manusia, termasuk perilaku, karakteristik, dan pola pikir, yang dinilainya lebih menantang dibanding bidang lain. Selama berkuliah, ternyata ilmu tentang manusia juga diterapkan lewat berbagai kerja kelompok. \u201cYang paling berkesan adalah cara Prasmul membuat tugas itu secara berkelompok, misalnya tugas akhir. Darisitu, karena sudah belajar tentang manusia, jadi lebih paham untuk merelakan, tidak mementingkan ego, dan bekerja sama supaya bisa <em>grow<\/em> bareng,\u201d ucapnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Planning, Timing, Pitching, dan Closing&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sudah empat tahun pria yang hobi bermain game ini berkecimpung di sektor <em>business development<\/em>. Selama berproses, ada formula yang ia sadari dan temukan bahwa proses mendapatkan klien itu berawal dari riset dan <em>timing<\/em> yang tepat. Jika ditanya tentang bagaimana cara meluluhkan hati klien, ia bercerita, \u201cHarus tahu terlebih dahulu kondisi industri, mana yang sedang berkembang baik, mana yang punya prospek yang bagus, baru kemudian mencari momentum yang pas berdasarkan kapan mereka mau <em>spend their marketing budget<\/em>.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setelah mendapatkan informasi tersebut, barulah Pras bersama rekan kerjanya membuat daftar perusahaan yang diincar dan mencari kontak. \u201cSekarang udah ada LinkedIn, cari kontak dari sumber mana pun, mikirnya bukan jualan dulu tapi kenalan, ngobrol, mendengarkan apa yang mereka hadapi, <em>pain points<\/em>-nya, kebutuhannya, baru bisa tawarin solusi buat kebutuhan mereka dari <em>services<\/em> yang kita punya,\u201d ia melanjutkan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setelah merincikan kendala yang dialami klien, ia pun baru melakukan <em>pitching<\/em>, hingga akhirnya mencapai <em>closing<\/em>. Namun, peran sebagai <em>business development<\/em> tidak berhenti sampai disitu, ia masih harus menjalin hubungan baik dengan klien agar dapat bekerjasama jangka panjang. \u201c<em>Marketing is all about trust<\/em>. Supaya bisa membangun <em>long lasting relationship<\/em> dengan klien, sampai akhirnya ada <em>retention<\/em>, itu butuh peran <em>business development<\/em>, terutama kalau lagi ada masalah. Jadi, <em>inbound marketing<\/em> juga muncul disitu.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dari Bisnis ke Operasional&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sejak 2021, Pras melepas jabatannya sebagai Business Development Executive di <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayoconnect.id\/\">Ayoconnect<\/a> dan mencoba peruntungannya di divisi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/en\/\">TikTok<\/a> Shop Partner Development. Perbedaaan apa yang ia rasakan? Pras menjelaskan bahwa pekerjaan sebelumnya sangat kental dengan ilmu bisnis, sedangkan saat ini, ia lebih mendalami perihal operasional. \u201cSekarang, KPI-nya adalah untuk <em>acquire partner<\/em> yang berkompeten. Berbeda dengan sekarang, ia berlaku sebagai <em>support system<\/em> yang siap membantu <em>partner <\/em>untuk meningkatkan performa.
