Soehadi selaku Dekan School of Business and Economics Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, bersama sejumlah perwakilan praktisi <em>branding<\/em> dan pelaku perusahaan yang berhubungan dengan <em>branding<\/em>, antara lain Bapak Daniel Surya (Chairman, CEO &#8211; WIR Group &amp; Slingshot Group), Bapak Iman Camil (President Director &#8211; Unistellar VC), Bapak Ricky Afrianto (Global Marketing Director &#8211; Mayora Group), Bapak Samir Dixit (Managing Director \u2013 Brand Finance Asia Pacific), Ibu Sarita Sutedja (Founder, Head of Promotion \u2013 Cita Rasa Prima Group), dan Bapak Sutan Banuara (Director &#8211; Brand Finance Indonesia).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pertama di Indonesia<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Di banyak negara, asosiasi\u00a0<em>branding<\/em> serupa Indonesia Branding Association (IBA) sudah bukan hal baru. Namun di Indonesia, IBA adalah asosiasi <em>branding<\/em> pertama yang berhasil di bentuk. IBA sendiri telah diinisiasikan oleh S1 Branding Prasetiya Mulya sejak tahun 2007, namun \u00a0butuh proses beberapa tahun hingga akhirnya diresmikan.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Menurut Fredy Utama,MM., Manajer Program Studi S1 Branding Prasmul, Visi IBA adalah berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi dan sumber daya manusia di Indonesia melalui aktivitas-aktivitas <em>branding<\/em>, meningkatkan akses pengetahuan tentang <em>branding<\/em> kepada semua peminat merek di Indonesia, dan mewujudkan Indonesia menjadi basis pengembangan pengetahuan tentang branding di Asia Tenggara.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntuk mewujudkan visi itu, anggota asosiasi diharapkan berperan aktif dalam pendidikan dan promosi yang terkait dengan industri <em>branding<\/em>. Lalu di kalangan <em>practicioners <\/em>\u00a0kita juga gak boleh hanya bekerja berdasarkan prakteknya tapi tidak tahu teorinya. Karena <em>branding<\/em> itu penting sekali. Produk yang menang, kalo <em>brand<\/em>-nya kalah, penjualnya bisa kalah. Apalagi sekarang dengan banyaknya inovasi, semakin ketatnya persaingan. Jadi asosiasi seperti ini sangat penting,\u201d demikian ungkap Ricky.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sistem Keanggotaan Terbuka<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Keanggotaan IBA bersifat terbuka untuk semua perusahaan <em>branding<\/em> di Indonesia dan mengundang mereka untuk berkolaborasi mempromosikan pengembangan industri <em>branding<\/em> di negeri ini. IBA juga berniat memainkan peran aktif untuk mengedukasi masyarakat umum terkait penguatan merek, juga melanjutkan penguatan dan kolaborasi dengan para pelaku <em>branding<\/em> dan pemerintah dalam menciptakan regulasi yang menguntungkan semua pihak di industri <em>branding<\/em> di Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDengan menjadi anggota IBA, kita akan memperoleh beberapa <em>benefits<\/em>, antara lain berita terkini terkait perkembangan industri <em>branding<\/em> dan konsep-konsep branding terbaru, informasi mengenai keterlibatan asosiasi di level regional maupun internasional, dapat menghadiri dan beraudiensi di sejumlah acara eksklusif terbatas seperti pelatihan, pameran, pendidikan dsb dengan mitra-mitra IBA.
