December 6, 2022, marked the beginning of a new chapter for 1,404 students of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya who have completed their tertiary level of education and received their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. This momentum is in line with the message conveyed through the theme “Embarking on Fundamental Resetting” which invites graduates to assemble the future post-COVID-19 pandemic.
The graduation ceremony was concluded with a speech by Prof. Dr. Djisman S. Simandjuntak as Chancellor of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. “One important message I need to pass to all graduates is that for all to be good alumni who uphold the basic values of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya and the values of science; always excel in your professions and value the virtue of professional principles; be responsible citizens of the Republik Indonesia who abide by the law and uphold the core values of Pancasila.”
Dr. Alexius Darmadi K., the Main Director of PT Sumi Asih, also gave another inspiring speech that encouraged graduates to have a whole understanding of circular business, “A circular business puts high importance on market demand. We, as human beings, need to create the supply from what our nature provides, in addition to scientific knowledge that had been gathered by scientists.”
For the past two years, graduation ceremonies have been conducted through hybrid method. This year’s commencement, which was proudly held at Plenary Hall, Jakarta Concention Center, was marked as a once-in-a-lifetime momentum for all graduates. On this special occasion, Prasetiya Mulya achieved another milestone of producing the first batch graduates from three programs, namely S1 International Business Law, S1 Product Design Engineering, and MM in Applied Business Analytics.
