Our Impact

Community Development Program

One of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s key efforts to promote broader entrepreneurial development is through the Community Development Program (Comdev), an entrepreneurship-based initiative rooted in the concept of traditional community service (KKN). This program is a revitalized form of KKN, aimed at enhancing community capacity and well-being through entrepreneurial activities.

Through this program, Prasetiya Mulya students (Prasmulyans) engage in the economic development of rural areas by supporting small business owners and applying the knowledge they have gained. Comdev encompasses a comprehensive process, from planning to monitoring and evaluation, which is carried out intensively between students and their community partners. Beyond entrepreneurship education, the program fosters empathy, moral development, and the application of CHAIN values (Caring, Humility, Achieving, Integrity, Non-discrimination) along with the LEAMICA character traits (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Analytical Thinking, Maturity, Interpersonal Relationship, Communication, Achievement) that Universitas Prasetiya Mulya upholds.

Work Plan

To achieve the set objectives, the Comdev Program proposes several types of work programs to be carried out by student groups, including Primary, Secondary, Social, and “Saung Rahayat” Programs. These programs are initiated based on the issues and needs of the target beneficiaries. During the execution of these programs, the student groups will be guided by Field Supervisor Lecturers (DPL), who act as experts in relevant fields. The outcomes of these work programs can be seen in the program results table.

The main program serves as a collaborative learning platform between student groups and business partners.

This program aims to spread the entrepreneurial spirit within specific regions.

This program functions to foster social awareness among student groups while benefiting the broader community.

An activity designed to activate marketing efforts, expand networks, and explore opportunities for collaboration with more strategic partners.

Saung Rahayat

Saung Rahayat is an event that showcases the hard work of students during Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s Community Development (KKN) program. MSME partners who have been mentored by Prasmulyans in various regions will gather at a single exhibition to proudly display their products and share knowledge about their offerings with the surrounding community.

Testimonials

  • Our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the entire Academic Community of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya for launching the Community Development (Comdev) Program, a service-learning initiative aimed at supporting MSMEs. We hope that MSMEs will continue to grow and progress, contributing to the development of Cianjur Manjur—an independent, advanced, religious, and morally upright region.

  • I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the presence of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students in Kuningan Regency, who have carried out mentoring programs for MSMEs from February to June 2022 through the COMDEV program. The progress has been remarkable, from upstream to downstream, helping businesses recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, improving welfare, and building a people-centered economy.

  • Since partnering with Comdev, the marketing reach of tutut has expanded to cities beyond Kuningan Regency, even crossing provinces to Batam. My participation in the Comdev program has helped focus the market for my tutut business. With the use of vacuum packaging, the product now has a longer shelf life. Previously, tutut could only be sold within Kuningan Regency.

  • COMDEV has taught me to empathize and truly understand what partner businesses need to grow. Despite being a business student who has studied various subjects in class, I still learned a lot from the COMDEV partners, especially in analyzing the internal and external aspects of their businesses.
