THE FIRST Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program (S3)

Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program is a unique doctoral program that integrates various aspects of management principles, entrepreneurial theory, senior executive insights, and in-depth market knowledge with a rigorous empirically based approach to solving today’s complex market problems and advancing new knowledge for the future.

Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program is designed to be an applied research-based degree that engages successful business leaders and entrepreneurs to collectively solve critical problems experienced by industries and markets in a fast-growing disruptive economy, to bring together multiple business perspectives, theoretical knowledge, and industry insights to push new frontiers of business science, and to produce cutting-edge enterprise solutions to address current and future market challenges.

The overall objective of our program is to advance visionary business leaders to become leading authorities in business and entrepreneurship with a significant contribution to solving complex problems faced by companies, industries, and markets while at the same time providing them with a way to become educators of a new generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.

  1. To make the School of Business and Economics of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya a leading national private university that becomes a reference for business and research development in Indonesia through improving the quality of multi-methodological research training to make a significant contribution to the development of science in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
  2. To produce students who become members of the community who have academic and professional abilities who can apply, maintain, develop, and/or create knowledge.
  3. To make the School of Business and Economics of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya a Reference Center for Management and Entrepreneurship Doctor Education.
  4. To produce business consultants who can think in a transdisciplinary, holistic, and futuristic way to help companies compete in the global marketplace.
  5. To improve managerial capacity and quality of educational resources to be more professional and productive to achieve national and international accreditation standards.
  6. To improve the ability to work creatively, and to be able to develop new knowledge and methods.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

Doctor of Business

Class Commencement:
Once a year (March) – study period: 3-5 years

Class schedule:
Regular Classes: Fridays 18.30 p.m. – 21.30 p.m. and Saturdays 09.00 a.m. – 16.30 p.m.

Monday to Thursday between 8.00 a.m. – 21.00 p.m. meeting with mentors for research purposes (by appointment only)

– 1 Semester = 14 study weeks + 2 exam weeks

– Credit: 50 credits (SKS)

– Enrolled students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25

CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program at Prasetiya Mulya equips students with the knowledge and capability to navigate the core ecosystem (complexity and uncertainty) of doing business in a highly competitive economy. The learning process in the doctoral program encourages doctoral students to explore new business processes and methodologies, exploit hidden market opportunities, and unlock new technological resources to achieve sustainable growth and long-term assurance for businesses.

The core emphasis of the program’s implementation is on supporting and facilitating the students to produce significant research findings for industries and companies. This program does not only focus on principles of management theories, but it also conducts various mini-workshops. These workshops are set up to help doctoral students in understanding and navigate the growing complexities and uncertainties of the market’s ecosystem of today and to further advance their abilities in formulating novel solutions and new business models of tomorrow.
