Kartika Paramita, S.H., LL.M.

Head of S1 International Business Law

Kartika Paramita is a lecturer in the School of Law and International Studies at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, specializing in Maritime and Transport Law, Commercial Activities and Private International Law. 

With a focus on the legal frameworks for liability and sustainability in maritime and transport industries, Kartika is passionate about improving the legal environment for commercial operations and goods transportation in Indonesia. 

She has published extensively in both national and international journals on topics such as liability under charterparties, international investment protection, and the upcoming regional legal frameworks. She is also actively engaged in teaching, covering courses in Maritime Law, Business Law, Tourism and Hospitality Law, and International Sales of Goods. 

Beyond the classroom, Kartika is also passionate about fostering an inclusive and empowering academic environment, and often engages in important discussions surrounding ethics. She serves as the Head of Task Force for Preventing and Handling Sexual Violence of the University. In this role, she leads initiatives aimed at promoting awareness, providing support, and ensuring a safe campus for all students and staffs. Not only that, she also becomes a Member of Notary Supervisory Council for Tangerang region, in which she involves promoting integrity and transparency within the legal framework for all notaries in office.

As a frequent speaker at international conferences, Kartika contributes to the global discourse on maritime security and shareholder engagement. Her academic excellence has been recognized through several awards during her bachelor study, including a Runner-Up position in the Kobe Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot Competition and recognition in the Asia Pacific Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Competition. She has also become awardee for several scholarships, such as Studeren in Nederland Scholarship from Dutch government, Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship, and Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarship.
