To provide a deep understanding of the future and the state of the industry in this digital era, Prasmul held InspiraTalk: The Future of Business in the Digital Era, on January 9, 2021.

Tricahyo (Sales Operations & Senior Product Leader of Tokopedia), Yohanes Sugihtononugroho (CEO & Co-Founder of Crowde and Prasmul alumni), and Prasmul Business student, Tiffany Goenawan, as moderator.
During the past year, it has become clear that there are unforeseen forces demanding people to make major changes in the industrial world, one of which is the field of digital technology. According to Yohanes, this is certainly very good for Indonesia, given that the process of shifting from conventional to digital business was quite a challenge in previous years.
Jonathan concurred, “Behavioral shifting and enforcement of the digitization of ecosystems are occurring in all industries because it is ‘the only option’. For example, Indonesia has been in the digital business era since 2016, where payment processes are dominant without physical (cash). It has transitioned well and is certainly positive for business.”
Not only did they reveal their point of view regarding digital technology, but the speakers also provided some tips to find inspiration for making innovations. According to Jonathan, “To find inspiration, you have to stick to your vision. When you find a problem gap, you should ask whether technology can solve the problem and, if it can, you should imagine what kind of technology it is. The next step is common sense, about making it happen. The other three things you should invest in are perseverance, risk calculation, as well as trial and error.” The other three things you should invest in are perseverance, risk calculation, as well as trial and error.” Apart from that, regardless of the context of digital technology, Jonathan also provided these tips for doing business. “Find out who you are, what you like, what inspires you. Opportunities and challenges are always there. We still have to choose what we are most passionate about. Keep up with what’s going on, try to connect with your inspiration, and find out how you can use it.”
To prepare competent human resources in the field of technological innovation and development, Prasmul’s Digital Business Technology program equips students with knowledge and understanding of digital technology and its application process in the business world, which, of course, is relevant to the needs of the industry.
“Talking about business innovation, we have to find an environment that can provide information. In the Digital Business Technology department itself, we familiarize students by encouraging them to face and recognize problems that exist in corporations or industries. From there, students can make alternative solutions in the form of technological innovation or some kind of special application,” said Permata.
