OUR PROGRAMS

SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER PROGRAM

The Small Business Development Center Program is implemented in line with the entrepreneurial competencies of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s undergraduate students. Through this program, students and their business partners from the designated village develop a business originating from the village which includes planning, implementation, and supervision. The evaluation mechanism between students and their partners is carried out intensively.

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT SERVICES

The Community Service Center also provides Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) community empowerment services, such as collaboration with the Badung, Bali Regency Government; collaboration with the Tangerang Regency Government through the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Expedition Program in Cisauk and Pagedangan Districts; seminars and entrepreneurship training for SMEs and school students; food certification (PIRT) for MSMEs; Brand Registration Clinic (HKI) for fostered MSMEs; and economic empowerment of MSMEs around campus through Social Week activities.

AGENT OF CHANGE IN SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER PROGRAM

Entrepreneurial Student: Comdev (Community Development) as Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s concrete service dedicated to community development

As an educational institution engaged in entrepreneurship, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is committed to providing sustainable services for community entrepreneurial activities. In line with this commitment, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya educates its students to be not only profit-oriented, but also socially and environmentally responsible entrepreneurs. The Community Development (Comdev) program is a tangible manifestation of the dedication of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya which is specifically dedicated to the community.

Since 2007, this project has been developed into a Community Development Project (KKN) with a high commitment to contribute to the welfare of rural communities. So far, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s Comdev has been fostering rural small and micro enterprises (SMEs) to be able to handle various problems. At the end of the Comdev program, villagers are expected to be able to use the right “hook and rod” for whatever business they run, so that they can “fish” for optimal results.

The parties usually involved in the Comdev program are: lecturers (FM), students (which are usually divided into several groups), and local entrepreneurs. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya acts as an intermediary between students and the community. Students and local entrepreneurs (also known as Comdev partners) are key players in the implementation phase.

Builders

Builders as a group of students relate to and accompany Comdev partners in the program, and even live with them. Builders are responsible for increasing the capacity of their partners through the implementation of business activities.

Energizers

The role of the energizers is to develop small businesses in the village and increase their marketing efforts through the use of technology or to reach a wider and larger scale beyond the village level.

Explorers

Explorers are responsible for obtaining relevant information about the potential or attractiveness of an area.

Enablers

Enablers are the team responsible for enabling coordination beyond the village level. They coordinate with various stakeholders at the village level and allow them to combine as one higher level identity (sub-district level).
