Diamond Awardee of Indonesia Winter Music Festival 2022
Indonesia Winter Music Festival 2022 is an online music competition organized by Fase Event and Rhapsodie. There are several categories to participate in, such as classical piano, pop and jazz piano, vocals, and violins. Darrylene Christella (Business 2021) took part in the competition. It shows us that Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students are not only developing their academic achievements. Darrylene took part in the pop piano category and performed a piece that was re-arranged by Christopher Norton called “Ode to Joy”. It was originally composed by Beethoven. She competed against 297 participants from all regions in Indonesia. In December 2022, Darrylene received Diamond Award and became one of the finalists who will compete and perform in the 2023 Hong Kong Youth Performing Arts Festival (HKYPAF).
Top 36 Finalists of HIPA Contest - Winter
Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) is an international photography award, founded in 2011 under the patronage of the crown prince of Dubai. The competition is open for public and anyone around the world can register. Some Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students have interests in photography. One of them is Alexander Bryan (Food Business Technology 2020). He submitted his work for the December 2022 competition. The theme was “Winter”. His photo shows winter atmosphere near a river. This round, the committee received over 800 works from amateur and professional photographers around the world. Alexander became the Top 36 Finalists out of 800 entries. Let’s congratulate Alexander!
2nd Winner of MARKETITION 2022
MARKETITION is a Marketing Competition organized by Management Society of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. This year, Marketition worked with DexaMedica, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia. The competition targets graduate students who are required to form a team of 3-5 students. It is also open for international students. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya full-time graduate students (MMR Students) participated in this competition as IMAC Team. We are represented by Muhammad Alif Septianda Nugroho (MMR 65), Pannavaro Sun (MMR 65), Lydia Virsa Almira (MMR 65), and Rendy Harsa Rizal (MMR 65). They competed against 32 other teams from Indonesia and Japan. In Marketition 2022, the team received a marketing case that discussed Dexa Medica's cough medicine product, Herbakof. In the midst of increasing health issues in recent years, cough medicine has become an interesting topic to be discussed more sharply. The IMac team succeeded in compiling the best marketing plan, starting with carrying out Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and quantitative research in the form of surveys to collect some of the findings used in producing marketing solutions which were presented directly to Herbakof and the jury at the final. Best Business Award of Wirausaha Merdeka
Wirausaha Merdeka (WMK) is an entrepreneurship program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The program requires the students to create a business that will be contested in the end of the program to determine 7 (seven) groups with the best business. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students took part in this competition under the team called Kitani. Exi Anggraini (International Business Law 2020), Ardiansyah Tanjung (Computer Systems Engineering 2020), and Ursula Beatrix Lasol (Accounting 2020) teamed up with students from Universitas Islam Bandung and Politeknik TEDC. Kitani Group received the award of the Best Business. Let’s congratulate them all!
3rd Winner of SxC International Summit Business Case Competition 2022
StudentsxCEOx International Summit 2022 is an international event organized by StudentsxCEOs Jakarta. It consisted of company visit, competition, main conference, chambers, and pre-event. SxC International Summit Business Case Competition aims to challenge and embrace the participants’ critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills. The theme was “Sustainability Roadmaps towards Industry 4.0 & Society 5.0.” Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students didn’t miss the chance to take part in this competition. We were represented by Joe Janet (Branding 2019), Michelle Norberta (Branding 2019), Gabriela Junisa Lasse (Branding 2019), and Michelle Elizabeth (Branding 2019). They went through two stages: proposal and pitching. They competed against 37 teams from universities in Indonesia, China, and Australia. They were announced as the 3rd winner. 2nd Winner of Trading Competition by Jakarta Future Exchanges
To enliven the launch of the latest futures contract Gold 10 Gram (GOL10) and Olein100 (OLE01), Jakarta Future Exchanges (JFX) and PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia organized Trading Competition GOL10 & OLE01. This competition provides an opportunity to practice futures contract trading in a safe environment. The competition focuses on the GOL10 (10 gram gold) and OLE01 (100 kg crude palm oil). This Trading Competition is open for brokers and also university students. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students participated in the competition under the name of Joha Group. They competed against 15 other teams from various universities. Irwin Budianto (Business Mathematics 2019), Johanes Tanujaya (Business Mathematics 2019), and Jonathan William (Business Mathematics 2019). Irwin, Johanes, and Jonathan worked together throughout November 2022. They made offers based on the current market competition. They successfully won 2nd Place. Let’s congratulate them!
2nd Winner & Best Speaker Award in IMBUSION 2022
IMBUSION (International Management Business Case Competition) 2022 was organized by FEB UNESA. The theme was “Generation as Innovator Creative Business to Support G20 Global Recovery”. The event was sponsored by Lokalate, Nutrihub Surabaya, and Siantar Top. The competition required the participants to register as a team of 2 or 3 diploma/undergraduate students. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Sandrina Lo (Finance & Banking 2019), Nisrina T.K. Kahri (Finance & Banking 2019), and Maria Inge Kristi (Finance & Banking 2019). They formed a team named Athena. The abstract case was by Lokalate. The Athena team was successful in providing sustainable product marketing strategy solutions for the millennial market during the global recovery period which can be implemented by Lokalate which is a brand of PT Nutrifood Indonesia. Sandrina, Nisrina, and Maria competed against 185 teams from renowned universities such as ITB, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Universitas Tarumanegara, Universitas Pelita Harapan, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Trisakti, IPB, Universitas Padjadjaran, Binus University including teams from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam (Malaysia) and Payap University (Thailand). Our students went through several stages before becoming one of the finalists. In the final round, Athena Team presented their paper in front of the judges. They won 2nd Place and also received the Best Speaker award. Let’s congratulate them!
2nd Winner & Best Presentation in Diponegoro Business Case Competition 2022
Diponegoro Business Case Competition (DBCC) is an annual competition as part of ENFUTION that is organized by Management Student Association (MSA) FEB Undip. This year’s theme was “Eternal Economic Prosperity by Maximizing Smart Technology”. It is an international-scale business case competition for undergraduate students. The competition began since July until November 2022. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented Sandrina Lo (Finance & Banking 2019), Nisrina T.K. Kahfi (Finance & Banking 2019), and Maria Inge Kristi (Finance & Banking 2019 as Team Athena. They passed the preliminary and semifinal stage. They became one of the finalists and competed against Universitas Pelita Harapan and Binus University. Team Athena succeeded in providing solutions on how to retain old customers and increase the active users of a fictitious digital bank (D'LIFE by Bank X) amidst intense digital bank competition. 3rd Winner & Best Presentation of International Business Solution Competition 2022
International Business Solution Competition (IBSC) is an annual business case competition organized by HIMABIS Fisip Universitas Padjadjaran. The grand theme was “How to Create E-Commerce Continuity through Customer Experience.” The strategic case contributor was ShopBack. The competition targeted undergraduate students who must register as a team of three. There were many universities participating in IBSC 2022, including a team from a university in the Philippines. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented Sandrina Lo (Finance & Banking 2019), Nisrina T.K. Kahfi (Finance & Banking 2019), and Maria Inge Kristi (Finance & Banking 2019 as Team Athena. Sandrina, Nisrina, and Maria must work hard together once the case was distributed. Then they submitted their paper which successfully allowed them to continue to the final round. As a finalist, they were required to participate in the learning section. Team Athena succeeded in presenting solutions both in terms of brand experience, product & service experience for ShopBack (Main Case Contributor). They competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember in the final round. They won 3rd Place & Best Presentation award in this competition. Wirausaha Merdeka (WMK) is one of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) programs initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. It aims to prepare excellent human resources in the field of entrepreneurship. This program allows students to collaborate, take action, and serve the country in growing the economy. The participants are also divided into several groups. They are required to create a business that will be contested to determine 7 (seven) groups with the best business. 1st Winner of INFEST 2022 Equity Research Competition
Investment Festival (INFEST) is an annual event organized by Kelompok Studi Ekonomi Pasar Modal/the Capital Market Economic Study Group (KSEP) ITB. It consisted of seminars, talk shows, trading competition (a competition where the participants must try to get the maximum profit using virtual funds on a trading platform within 3 weeks), and equity research competition (a competition that aims to train participants in analyzing an issuer determined by the committee in detail and accurately). The theme for INFEST 2022 was “Investing: What Now?”. Felix Justin Wirianto (Finance & Banking 2020), Marcella Kusuma (Finance & Banking 2020), and Natasha Audrey Wijaya (Finance & Banking 2020) represented Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in INFEST 2022 Equity Research Competition. They teamed up to prepare their report for the preliminary round and they successfully made it as one of the finalists. They competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Brawijaya, UNS, ITB, UNNES, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Diponegoro, and Universitas Airlangga. Felix, Marcella, and Natasha acted as investment analysts and conducted research on one of the shares of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, Tbk. Tanoto Future Leaders Business Acumen is an extensive business plan workshop for Indonesian university students. It aims to support Indonesian students in kick-starting their career in Indonesia’s startup environment through series of online training, networking with prominent startup founders and venture capitalists, and pitching day. There are 2 categories that the participants can choose. First, it is Team Leader (individual/a team of 2-4 members, aspiring to be founder or CEO, and have business idea). The second category is Team Member for individual who doesn’t have a business idea but interested in startup and aspiring to grow a business as a team member. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Maheswari Azaria Damar (Business Management 2020). She registered in the Team Leader category. She worked hard since May to August 2022. Best Speaker of the 11th UI Youth Environmental Action Essay Competition
UI Youth Environmental Action (UI YEA) is an annual event held by the Environmental Department of Universitas Indonesia Executive Board as a platform for youths to innovate and create solutions for environmental challenges. The events consisted of a pre-event regarding the holding of an essay competition with the theme of the green industry, a creative propaganda competition, an international essay competition, a conference, a field event, and the Grand Summit. The 11th UI YEA has a message for all with their #TakingSignificantStepsForward. Thus, the theme for was “The Utilization of Green Industry to Generate a Massive Resiliency”. Yohana Joevanca Kurniawan (Business Mathematics 2022) represented Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in the essay competition. She prepared an essay of Chamber 3 topic (Local Community Empowerment) with the big theme of “Optimizing Gender Cooperativeness through Technology toward the Green Industry.” The competition was held in November 2022 where Yohana also presented her essay. 1st Winner of Brawijaya Legislative Fair 2022 Essay Competition
Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya organized the annual Brawijaya Legislative Fair 2022. This event consisted of workshops and Essay & Digital Poster Competition. It aims to foster and develop students' critical thinking, creativity, and innovation skills. The theme for the Essay Competition is “Aksi Generasi Millenial Tanggap Isu RKUHP” with 14 sub-themes. And for the digital poster competition, the theme is “Meneropong Kinerja Pembaharuan RKUHP di Era Reformasi.” Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Aulia Saiful Hadi (International Business Law 2020) and Muhammad Hafizh Rafiyanto (International Business Law 2020) in the essay competition. The competition began in September 2022 and the awarding night was in December 2022. Our students competed against teams from Universitas Udayana and Universitas Brawijaya. Winners of the 5th Hapkido National Championship
Hapkido is a Korean martial art characterized by kicking and circular movements. It has become popular in Indonesia. PPHI (Pengurus Pusat Hapkido Indonesia) organized the fifth Hapkido National Championship this year. It was held in Padang, West Sumatra at Padang State University and was attended by a total of 326 athletes from 23 provinces in Indonesia. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Kharis Satria Muladi (Branding 2019). He was one of the Hapkido athletes from DKI Jakarta team. Prior to being Jakarta’s representative, Kharis has gone through a selection process and received approval from the DKI Jakarta Regional Administration for Hapkido. In the 5th Hapkido National Championship, Kharis managed to get 1st place in the Gum Hyung Senior A category and 3rd place in the Hyung Senior Advance (Individual) category. The Hyung category is a competition for the beauty of a series of movements that require precision and strength in every movement. Let’s congratulate Kharis for his achievement!
Best Overall Performance Team Awardee in the XL Future Leaders
XL Future Leaders (XLFL) is an Indonesian corporate social responsibility (CSR) program designed to develop leaders that are socially informed, creative and confident by providing high-quality learning resources for young people across Indonesia. One of their programs is Rumah Akselerasi Inovasi (REAKSI). Through REAKSI, XLFL trains active young people who manage student organizations and start-ups to strengthen their contribution to society. Running for three months from March 2022, REAKSI was attended by a total of 110 representatives from organizations and start-ups. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Gracia Tumakaka (Branding 2018), Ivan Hermawan (Business 2019), and Sally Cationa (Business Mathematics 2018). They formed a team called Catika Group. They implement the KONEK program, an online roadshow to remote areas, such as Mentawai, Atambua, Kupang, Merauke, and Sumba which aims to provide internet access and entrepreneurship education to rural children. Gracia, Ivan, and Sally were awarded the Best Overall Performance Team for the Startup Category on this occasion. Let’s congratulate them for their achievement!
Indonesia Representative in ASEAN Cultural Digital Ambassador Transformation Program 2022: Unity in Bytes
The ASEAN Cultural Digital Ambassador Transformation Programme 2022: Unity in Bytes is a project funded by the ASEAN Cultural Fund (ACF) under the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Malaysia in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) was held from 17th- 22nd June 2022 in Selangor and Melaka. It aims to create a regional network of Cultural Digital Ambassador (CDA) across the ASEAN State members (ASM) using the digital platforms to help promote and sustain the arts, heritage and culture preservation. Twenty (20) Cultural Digital Ambassadors (CDA) from ASEAN countries, and members from the ASEAN Secretariat will participate in a 6-day program of engaging in cultural education activities with indigenous peoples and local communities in Selangor and Melaka. Activities include authentic and unique cultural exchanges, dances, traditional lifestyles, food and costumes. CDA will also participate in seminars and workshops on regional cultural economy as well as hands-on learning to create digital content to promote and facilitate regional socio-economic recovery. Each country sends 1 cultural practitioner and 1 student. Starting from June - November 2020, Kadek Danayasa and his four friends took part in a competition called the Youth Culture Camp (KBKM) organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. In May 2022, a national selection was held by PTLK Kemendikbud to select a student from the 2019-2021 KBKM participants to become the Indonesian delegate at the ASEAN Cultural Digital Ambassador Transformation Program 2022: Unity in Bytes. And on that occasion, Kadek Danayasa succeeded in becoming the Indonesian delegate. Let’s congratulate Kadek Danayasa for this success.
3rd Winner of AIS Social Media Competition
As part of the 2022 AIS Forum, they organized a social media competition with the them of “Our Ocean, Our Future.” AIS or The Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum is a platform designed to include island states and archipelagic countries regardless of their region, size, and development level. The competition is open to public. The submission will be scored based on by the theme, the aesthetic and art value, the impact and messaging, the international collaboration, the compliance with terms and conditions, and the social media engagements. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Alexander Bryan (Food Business Technology 2020). Alex competed against other 30 participants from AIS Forum members, such as Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Fiji, and Kiribati. Alex won 3rd place with his photo submission about “Gili Asahan is Undoubtedly a Vision of Paradise.” Let’s congratulate him!
Winner of UISI M-BION 2022
Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia (UISI) organized its annual Management Business Competition (M-Bion). M-Bion 2022 theme was “Optimizing Post-Pandemic Economic Improvement through Millennial Business and Investment Strategies.” M-Bion 2022 had 3 competition categories: National Business Case Competition, Business News Anchor Competition, and Business Plan Competition. Each category had its own theme. Maria Inge Kristi (Finance & Banking 2019), Nisrina T.K. Kahfi (Finance & Banking 2019), and Sandrina Lo (Finance & Banking) decided to team up and participate in M-Bion 2022 National Business Case Competition. They worked together in writing their paper in line with the theme of “A Good Millenial’s Solution for a Great Solution.” They are one of the best 5 teams with best abstract. They proceeded to the Final Round where they presented their paper. They competed against teams from Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha and other universities. Maria Inge, Nisrina, and Sandrina won 1st Place and they are also awarded as the team with Best Paper. Let’s congratulate them!
Winner of the Equity Research Competition EXPLOTION 2022 - INFINITY 2022 UMY
Kelompok Studi Pasar Modal Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (KSPUMY) organized an event called INFINITY 2022 (Investment and Financial Festival for Youth). As part of this event, they also conducted Extraordinary Capital Market Competition (EXPLOTION) with the theme of “Role of Young Generation towards Sustainable Investment Infrastructure.” EXPLOTION 2022 has 2 competitions: Equity Research Competition and Beauty Contest. Bernadeta Soegiarto (Finance & Banking 2020) and Sophia Kineta Djohan (Finance & Banking 2020) participated in the Equity Research Competition as Kumbang Hercules team. In this competition, they had to make a valuation paper consisting of fundamental and technical analysis at one of the mining companies, namely INCO. Our students went through several selection stages such as paper making and final presentation at the final stage. Bernadeta and Sophia competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Negeri Semarang, and other universities in Indonesia. 1st Winner of the 2nd SEAFAST-Nestlé FPDC 2022
Food Product Development Competition (FPDC) is a food innovation competition organized by the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). It is an international competition for vocational to undergraduate students of all majors to develop food and beverage products. In the second year, FPDC in collaboration with Nestle and SEAFAST IPB carried the theme "Preventing Indonesia's Major Health Issues through Development of Plant-Based Food and Beverage for Teens, Adults, and Seniors." Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students are known to love challenges. Caroline Tiffany (Food Business Technology 2019), Felicia Angelique Susanto (Food Business Technology), and Natanie Angelica Putri (Food Business Technology) brought the Heybar product innovation into the competition. It is the first savory snack-bar innovation in Indonesia and a better choice than other savory snacks in circulation. Heybar is made from 5 main nutritious ingredients, namely, rice puff, sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, chia seed, and almond. The savory taste makes Heybar able to increase appetite and maintain a sense of fullness for consumers. Heybar is equipped with seaweed topping, contributing to providing 0.044-gram fiber which can function as an anticancer, antioxidant, and much more. This competition was participated by students from all over Indonesia from North Sumatra, Malang, and other regions. There were 20 groups that passed the abstract selection stage and the Heybar team, which was guided by Ibu Fransisca Wijaya, S.TP., MP. won the first place award, followed by a team from the Institut Teknologi Bandung and Universitas Brawijaya. Country Champion of Mondelez Taste The Future Business Challenge 2022
Mondelez organized a competition called “Mondelez Taste the Future Business Challenge 2022” for undergraduate students. It is also their way to pool their future talents. Two of our students, Muhammad Farrel Hardjanto (Business 2019) and Rifqi Asqal Herial (Business 2019) teamed up with 2 other students from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Mondelez Taste The Future Business Challenge Indonesia are divided into three stages: 1st stage, 2nd stage, and country showdown. In the 1st stage, the team must think of a problem based on the big theme: “How Might Mondelez Lead the Future of Snacking in SEA.” Our students and their team made it to second stage where they were asked to create an idea to solve the problem chosen in the previous stage. After competing in the second stage with 14 other teams, Muhammad Farel, Rifqi, and their team were chosen as one of the four teams who proceeded to the country showdown stage. Each team was required to present in front of the directors of Mondelez Indonesia. This team tried to resolve a problem occurring amongst university students in Indonesia with a snack creation called StudyBuddy by OREO. This snack is specifically designed to suit the stages that students go through when studying. With this ideation, Muhammad Farel, Rifqi and their teammates won the country showdown and they will represent Indonesia in the Southeast Asia stage. 3rd Winner of Management Competition 2022: Business Case Competition
The Management Competition 2022 is organized by the Management Study Program Student Association, Faculty of Business and Economics, Atma Jaya University, Yogyakarta. It is an annual and national business case competition since 1998. The competition is open for students from universities across Indonesia. The theme of the 23rd Management Competition is “Boosting Adaptive Business to Build Prosperous Society". This activity aims to provide useful contributions and as discussion spaces for solving problems, through the creative thinking of the participants. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Maria Inge Kristi (Finance & Banking 2019), Nisrina T.K. Kahfi (Finance & Banking 2019), and Sandrina Lo (Finance & Banking 2019). The team went through several stages. The first stage is pre-case where the participants are required to solve a case by making a presentation video and presentation deck. Maria, Nisrina, and Sandrina were announced as one of the 15 teams going to the semifinal round. In the semifinal round, the team must solve a case given by a company. They conducted the discussion of each team virtually for three hours. Subsequently, the team must present their solution in English. Our team made it to the final round with 7 other teams. In the final stage of the competition, our students carried the theme "Embracing Indonesia Beauty" and presented various solutions ranging from New Face of Sari Ayu Martha Tilaar, Expanding Through Omnichannel Commerce, Boosting Brand Attraction & Offering Free Samples. They competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and other well-known universities. Their hard work and ideas resulted in winning 3rd place. 1st Winner of the National Business Competition of TSM Economic Days 5.0
Trisakti School of Management organized TSM Economic Days 5.0. It is an annual national accounting, business, and debate competition. This year, the theme was “RADIATE: Rise in Dynamic Competition.” Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students participated in the National Business Competition. Anisa Bahiroh (Branding 2021), Jessy Sophiani (Branding 2021), and Lisha (Branding 2021) represented our university. The business competition’s theme was “Elevate: Elaborate and Level Up the Competence of Young Entrepreneurs.” In this competition, the participants were given a case about a digital bank called blu by BCA. Anisa, Jessy, and Lisha passed the preliminary round. In the final round, they competed against teams from Chinese University of Hongkong, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Tarumanegara, and other recognized universities. Their hard work paid off. They were announced as the 1st Winner of the National Business Competition of TSM Economic Days 5.0. Let’s congratulate them!
1st winner of the International Business Case Competition of Ganesha Business Festival 2022.
Ganesha Business Festival is an annual business case and business plan competition for high school and undergraduates in Indonesia and worldwide organized by SBM ITB. Knowing the scope of the competition, we were represented by four students in the International Business Case Competition. They are Joanne Xaviera (Finance & Banking 2021), Karenza Auriel Manatha (Finance & Banking 2021), Philea Evangelista Christy (Finance & Banking 2021), and Vanessa Indra Marcella (Finance & Banking 2021). The theme was “Maximizing Business Strategies to Overcome Challenges in the Post Pandemic Era through Digitalization.” In this year competition, the case contributor was Gojek, a company with various businesses (services, food delivery, transportation, and digital payments). The participants were required to provide a practical approach to enable Gojek to grow in a sustainable way. Joanne, Karenza, Philea, and Vanessa must pass several stages. The first one was the preliminary round where the submitted their proposal. They proceeded to the next round as semi-finalist and they must succeed the debate round. Our team was announced as one of the finalists. It was the final presentation round. They competed against teams from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Monash University Australia, Tohoku University Japan, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada and other well-known universities. The competition lasted for a month, starting from March to April 2022. Joanne, Karenza, Philea, and Vanessa worked very hard. Aside from hard work, their ideas and innovation lead them in becoming the 1st winner of the International Business Case Competition of Ganesha Business Festival 2022.
2nd Winner of the National Conference of StudentsxCEOs 11th Grand Summit
StudentsxCEOs Grand Summit is an annual event held by StudentsxCEOs Bandung Chapter and consists of Pre-events, Business Case Competition, National Conference, and The Summit. The 11th Grand Summit will support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through collaboration with various well-known companies and NGOs. This year’s grand theme was “Escalating Potentials to Thrive in the Disruptive Era.” One of our students, Exi Anggraini (International Business Law 2020) took part in the National Conference with two friends from Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Negeri Medan. The National Conference is a place to voice out their opinions on problems regarding SDGs. There are 3 chambers with different SDGs topics. The first one is SDG 8 about decent work and economic growth, the second one is SDG 9 about innovation and infrastructure, and SDG 11 about sustainable cities and communities in the third chamber. Exi and her friends followed several stages. First, they were required to submit an essay. Subsequently, they took part in motion conference prior going to the pitching or study case round. They developed an innovation by providing equal employment opportunities by using technological developments that have been present in the community, then adjusted to the culture and culture that develops in certain areas. In this competition, Exi collaborated with her teammates so that the ideas developed included social, political, cultural, and economic aspects. Exi and her team was announced as the 2nd Winner of the National Conference of StudentsxCEOs 11th Grand Summit. She competed against teams from Universitas Brawijaya, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and other reputable universities. Let’s congratulate her!
3rd Winner of Indonesia Willem C. Vis Pre Moot
Indonesia Young Arbitration Community organized the annual Indonesia Willem C. Vis Pre Moot on March 11th-12th, 2022. The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is a competition for law students to practice the international commercial sales law and arbitration. A team of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s International Business Law students that is consisted of Bryan Mugito, Marcella Jessica Faustine Tantra, Nadya Allycia, Nadya Daniella, Valencia Ardella, and Sergio Jivalino, represented our university in this competition. They competed against teams from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Padjajaran, and Bina Nusantara. It was not an easy competition and our team must work hard and well together. They won 3rd place. Let’s congratulate them all.
1st Winner of Inception International Marketing Plan Competition
Universitas Ciputra organized an international competition with South China University of Technology. The competition is called “Inception International Marketing Plan Competition.” As we all know, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students are always enthusiastic to participate in competitions. Adira Tasya Nathania (Branding 2021), Osfred Widyarta (Finance 2021), and Vebrynovitha Thiara (Branding 2021) represented our university in this competition. They submitted a proposal with a case study to to help JST, Jet Set Travel Ltd which is a travel agency to penetrate the market during the Covid-19 pandemic. They made an STP strategy in marketing to make a new target market for a company. They competed against Universitas Brawijaya, and South China University of Technology. Adira, Osfred, and Vebrynovitha are the first winner of this competition. Let’s congratulate them all!
2nd Winner of Presence Dance Competition
Presence Dance Competition is an annual dance competition that has been held for 12 times. There are 2 categories: Battle Dance 1v1 and Dance Group. Battle dance Battle Dance 1v1 which is a Solo Dance Competition with the Hiphop Freestyle genre. Arcelia Maedeline (Business 2021) represented our university in the Battle Dance Category. She competed with over 80 persons from all categories. This wasn’t an easy competition because she competed in several rounds, preliminary, Top 16, Top 8, Top 4, and Final Battle. Her competitors were students from Universitas Bina Nusantara, Universitas Maranatha, Universitas Kristen Parahyangan, and Institut Teknologi Bandung. Arcelia won 2nd Place. Let’s congratulate her!
Top 6 Finalists of Private Equity Case Competition
Asian Private Equity Club @SMU organized an annual competition called Private Equity Case Competition (PECC). It is open to all undergraduate and graduate students from all universities across the world. In this competition, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is represented by two graduate students from our MM Regular program. Tiffany Julia (MMR 65) and Reinaldo Hadisurya Djoenarko (MMR 65) competed against teams from other countries where they are given cases from real simulations of how private equity firms evaluate targets and make bids to the industry. Tiffany and Reinaldo had to go through several stages, namely the preliminary stage, the presentation dec submission, and the Final Stage. They made is as one of the 6 finalists. Tiffany and Reinaldo persevered and competed against Singapore Management University and National University of Singapore. They didn’t win 1st place but it is also a great achievement being the Top 6 Finalist. Let’s congratulate them all!
3rd Place Winner of the National Capital Market Research and Analysis Competition 2022
Kalbis Institute organized the National Capital Market Research and Analysis Competition 2022. Our university was represented by Felix Justin Wirianto (Finance & Banking 2020), Marcella Kusuma (Finance & Banking 2020), and Natasha Audrey Wijaya (Finance & Banking 2020). In this competition, this team of students acted as investment analysts who conducted research to one of the shares of a public company, namely PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk. Our students competed against teams from Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Trisakti, and other universities. The competition took approximately 1 month. Our students experienced how to make good equity reports and present them. Taking part in competitions is also a way to maximize your learning experience. 1st Place Winner of Entrepreneur Business Challenge Competition (EBCC) 2022
Entrepreneur Business Challenge Competition (EBCC) 2022 is a national business challenge competition organized by Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya. This year’s theme was “Creating Creative Business Plan in Digital Era”. The competition began with submitting Business Model Canvas and an infographic poster explaining the business. In this competition, Chynthia Hugo (Business 2020), Jonathan Evan Christian (Business Mathematics), Valen Meicella Ishen (Software Engineering 2020) and William Tiono (Business Economics 2020) worked together as a team named The Catalysts. They represented our university to the Top 20 stage where they were required to submit a proposal. And they continued on to the Top 10 stage. They had a live business presentation with question and answer session with the judges. The team created “DigitAlly ‘with the slogan “Go Digital with DigitAlly”. DigitAlly is a platform that connects MSMEs with digital talents who can help them go digital. By curating educational materials from various leading edutech companies in Indonesia, DigitAlly also allows young people to learn and earn in the digitalization process. Thus, DigitAlly's vision to help accelerate the digitization of the Indonesian economy to support the 8th SDG, namely sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all, can be achieved. They competed against teams from Universitas Bina Nusantara, Universitas Airlangga, and many more. Their hard work paid off. They won 1st place. Winners of National Investment Fair 2022
National Investment Fair 2022 is a national scale competition that also include numerous insightful events organized by Galeri Investasi Trisakti School of Management. The series of competition held are as follows: Stock Case Competition, Trading Competition, and Poster Competition. The theme of the National Investment Fair 2022 is “Investment: Financial Superpower”. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students are always up for challenges. It is not a surprise that we have to teams representing our campus in the Stock Case Compettion. The first team is HST Capital consisted of Felix Justin Wirianto (Finance & Banking 2020), Marcella Kusuma (Finance & Banking 2020), and Natasha Audrey Wijaya (Finance & Banking 2020). The other team is called Japa Ventures with Amanda Angelica, Audrey Celia, and Ferian Phungky who are all Finance & Banking students but from different batch (2018 &2021). HST Capital acted as investment analyst who conducted research on one of the shares of a public company, namely PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, the largest gas infrastructure company in Indonesia and PT Itama Ranoraya Tbk, a medical device company in Indonesia in an investment research competition held by Trisakti University. In the other hand, Japa Ventures conducted research on PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk dan PT Itama Ranoraya Tbk. This competition began on March and the winners were announced on May 2022. HST Capital and Japa Ventures competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Trisakti, Universitas Parahyangan, Universitas Udayana, and other recognized universities in Indonesia. HST Capital won 1st place so let’s congratulate Felix, Marcella, and Natasha. We are also proud to know that Japa Ventures won 2nd place. Let’s also congratulate Amanda, Audrey, and Ferian.
2nd Winner of the Stock Trading Competition of Petrolida 2022
Petroleum Integrated Days (Petrolida) is an annual event organized by Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. This year’s series was the 10th annual event. Petrolida 2022 has competitive events, as follows: Oil Rig Design Competition, Fracturing Fluid Design Competition, Stock Trading Competition, Petrosmart Competition, Case Study Competition, Paper Competition, and Business Case Competition. Stock Trading Competition theme was “Enhancing the Stock Market of Indonesia through the Minds of the Youth.” This is a competition where the participants obtain the highest profit from online trading and showcase their knowledge in analyzing company stock data. Adriel Jonathan Lukito (Finance & Banking 2021) represented Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in the Stock Trading Competition. He went through three stages in this competition. The first stage was the online trading stage where participants seek the largest capital gain through trading. Adriel was one of the 12 teams with highest capital gain and made it to the presentation stage. At this stage, he and other participants must present the companies form the sector determined through the draft pick. Again, Adriel was one of the six teams with highest points. He proceeded to the final round. In the final, he participated in a Focus Group Discussion where they were asked to write a paper related to the topic “Creating Global Currency.” Adriel competed against students from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and other universities. He won 2nd place of the Stock Trading Competition of Petrolida 2022. Let’s congratulate Adriel!
2nd Winner of the National Problem Solving Competition
National Problem Solving Competition (NPSC) is an annual business case competition organized by Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen, Universitas Kristen Widya Mandala. This year is the 9th NPSC. The theme was “Optimizing Startup Business Innovations by Fathoming Into Society 5.0.” The 9th NPSC was in collaboration with Ralali.com. The competition was conducted on April 2022. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Jessica Widjaja (Branding 2019), Clarissa Regina Feryanto (Branding 2019), and Marcellia Argashie (Branding 2019). They called their team the Triace. The Triace and other teams were given a pre-case in the preliminary round and submitted a paper. They continued with a new case that they need to think of the solution. The solution that the students offered was the creation/development of a new system for Ralali called RalaliFin+. RalaliFin+ is an automated financial recording system in the Ralali.com ecosystem by integrating the three main Ralali products, namely: RalaliPlus, RalaliRFQ and Ralali Seller Pannel. Jessica, Clarissa, and Marcellia also integrated the concept of Society 5.0 in their solution. In the final presentation round they competed against teams from Universitas Tarumangegara, Universitas Ciputra, Universitas Bunda Mulia, and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. 1st Winner of Glowmention (Glow in Management Competition)
Glowmention (Glow in Management Competition) is a National Level Management Competition organized by Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen, Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Katolik Soegijapranata. Glowmention VIII in 2022 has the theme of “Sustainable Business with Smart Environmental Management During the Uncertain Situation.” In this competition, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Kaizen Team consisted of Kirine Floria Budianto (Branding 2018), Verren (Finance and Banking 2018), and Fernando Natanael (Renewable Energy Engineering 2018). They began their business case competition journey since May 2022. In the first round, all the participants were given a pre-case and they were required to submit their paper. Our team continued to the second round. The main case to be solved by each team was related to sustainability business management and profitability in the higher education and healthcare industries. Kirine, Verren, and Fernando worked hard together. It lead them to proceed to the Final Round. In the final round, each team must present their main case, conducted a debate, and had mini case presentation. The motion brought by the team was the implementation of the carbon tax in Indonesia even when the post-pandemic economic recovery process was still ongoing. As for the mini case, the group completed a new case in the wood processing industry in less than 16 hours. Team Kaizen was announced as the 1st winner. Best Presenter for Social Category of The 1st International Youth Conference on Village Sustainable Development Goals
The 1st International Youth Conference on Village Sustainable Development Goals was organized with the theme "Agenda Arrangement on Perpetual Issues through Youth Movement" which consists of Main Conference; a Call For Proposal; and Essay Competition. This event is initiated by Kementrian Pemuda dan Olahraga Republic Indonesia and Desamind. The Essay and Call for Proposal competitions were regarding developmental innovations and regulations related to sustainable development in the village. Then, the 25 best participants will be invited to do a final pitching (presentation) on the idea in front of a jury that includes the Ministry of Youth and Sports and NGOs. From the final pitching results, the best essays and the best presentations from each sub-theme will then be selected. In this occassion, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Exi Anggraini (International Business Law 2020). She was awarded the best presentation from the social category with her mentor, Mrs. Ulya Yasmine Prisandani. Let’s congratulate Exi!
2nd Winner of the National Problem Solving Competition the 2022 International Stock Portfolio Analysis Competition
Universitas Negeri Jakarta organized the 2022 International Stock Portfolio Analysis Competition which theme was “Sharpening Young Investors Analysis Skill on Building Stock Portfolio”. This is an international for diploma and undergraduate students. The participants must form a team of three students. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Christopher Sadikin Limandibrata (Finance & Banking 2019), Joshua Christian Linardi (Finance & Banking 2019), and Richard Wiriadiharja (Finance & Banking 2019). There were two rounds in this competition. The first round required each team to build a portfolio consisting of 5 stocks from Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). They observed their portfolio growth for 14 days. Afterward, they created the report about the investment strategy and analyzed industries and companies. Our team proceeded to the next round because of their team’s strategies and stock selection. In the final round, our team presented their report to a panel of expert judges. There were 10 teams as the finalists. Our team competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Malaysia Sabah, Halu Oleo University, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, and other reputable universities. After two months of competing, Christopher, Joshua, and Richard won 2nd Place. Let’s congratulate them!
Winner in the 2022 DANPASPAMRES Cup Shooting Competition
The 2022 DANPASPAMRES Cup shooting competition was attended by more than 800 participants which was held at Perbakin Senayan, from March 10-13, 2022. The championship was re-opened after a 3 year vacuum. This year, 19 competitions were opened, including executive shooting, 25-meter precision shooting, IPSC level II reaction shooting, non-IPSC reaction shooting (non-optic pistols), air rifle shooting and air pistol shooting, Paspamres style shooting, and exhibition shoot. When we think about sport competitions, we should remember that many students are also good athletes. Shooting may not be too popular yet but one of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students has intereste in it. He is Muhammad Ryan Abrar (Branding 2021). Ryan practices regularly and he is serious about the sport. He took part in the 2022 DANPASPAMPRES Cup – Shooting Competition. He entered in the reaction shooting category where it is measured by firing speed and shooting accuracy. On this occasion, Muhammad Ryan Abrar managed to get 1st place in the junior optical production class and 3rd place in the production optic grade B class. Let’s congratulate him!
Gold Medal Winner of POSI Science Assessment 2022 (PISA)
POSI Science Assessment 2022 is a science olympiad held by Pusat Olimpiade Sains Indonesia and participated by high school/MA/vocational high school students and teachers from all over Indonesia. There are the economics category that had 143 students and teachers of SMA/MA/SMK as participants and the English category with 186 participants. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students don’t underestimate the benefits of competitions. In this POSI Science Assessment 2022, Cynthia Hugo (Business 2020) represented our university. She entered in both categories, economics and English. Having to compete with other participants is hard already. Imagine how hard Cynthia had to work to succeed in this competition! Continuous learning and hard work really paid off. Cynthia won gold medals for both categories. Let’s congratulate her!
Gold Medal Winner in the National Young Scientist Innovation 2022 - English Category
National Young Scientist Innovation 2022 is a science Olympiad organized by Pusat Olimpiade Sains Indonesia. To participate in this competition, there are three categories. First is for students and teachers of SD/MI and it has three fields: Mathematics, Science, and English. The second one is for students and teachers of SMP/MTs where the participants can choose the following fields: Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and English. The third one is for high school students, university students, and teachers of SMA/MA/SMK. In the National Young Scientist Innovation 2022, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Aditya Alberthus Chrisnanda (Business 2020). He took part in the third category and he chose the English field. He competed against 204 other participants on March 20, 2022. Aditya was required to answer 75 English questions correctly and in time. We are proud to announce that Aditya received Gold Medal in this competition. Let’s congratulate him!
2nd Winner of Esprit de Corps 2.0. Business Case Competition
Esprit de Corps 2.0 is a national event organized by HMPSM Universitas Pelita Harapan Medan. This event focuses on inspiring people to start and grow a business collaboratively as well as improving the business skills. This year’s theme is “Steps to Success” and it consists of webinar and competition. There were Business Case Competition and Bilateral Competition in Esprit de Corps 2.0. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students continue to participate in various competitions despite the challenges they face during the pandemic. Victoria Liv Poerwantoro (Business 2020), Syifa Alya Rahmah (Business 2020), and Mendy Laurence (Business 2020) represented Prasmul in the Business Case Competition of Esprit de Corps 2.0. They worked on the case given by the case distributor which was Sari Roti. In this competition, they were asked to find creative ideas in maximizing efficiency and people management during the current pandemic. They competed against teams from Universitas Padjajaran, Universitas Brawijaya, and 10 other teams from prominent universities. Victoria, Syifa, and Mendy won 2nd place. Let’s congratulate them!
Indonesia National Winner & Most Favorite Team in APAC Regional of P&G CEO Challenge 2022
P&G CEO Challenge is an annual competition will test the aptitude for business strategy and real-life problem-solving. To take part in this competition, the students are required to form a team of three. It could be from the same university or different university. Knowing the prestige and how challenging the competition is, there is no doubt that Universitas Prasetiya Students will participate. This year, Delina Kezia (Business 2019) teamed up with two friends from ITB. The theme of P&G CEO Challenge was Metaverse and Video Gaming. Delina’s team was named Baked Alaska. They won the National Round and proceeded to the regional (APAC) round. They competed with various participants from all countries including Malaysia, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and other countries in the world. Delina and her friends received the award as the Most Favorite Team in Asia Pacific. Let’s congratulate her and her teammates!
2nd Winner of BREXPLOR 2022
BREXPLOR is the first national branding competition, workshop and conference event under the external division of HIMA Branding (OWL Club) S1 Prasetiya Mulya University. BREXPLOR comes from the words 'Branding' and 'Explore', collaborating with the Prasetiya Mulya Branding Club Alumni Association (IKAPRAMA), BREXPLOR aims to increase the interest and knowledge of young people in the world of Branding. The competition has two categories: university category and high school category. The case contributor this year is Anteraja, a technology-based shipping company that is growing quite rapidly in its industry. As the organizer, it is definitive that we have students participating in the competition. The participants must register as a team just like Clarissa Regina Feryanto (Branding 2019), Marcellia Argashie (Branding 2019), and Carolina Dee Aquilerra (Branding 2019). They worked together in this competition. These students proposed a solutions that were still in the #PastiBawaHepi umbrella campaign and were divided into three categories, namely application activation, social media activation, and e-commerce activation. The three solutions aim to form a strong customer base from Anteraja to compete against competitors who are old players in the logistics industry. Clarissa, Marcellia, and Carolina competed against teams from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Bandung and 57 other teams from well-known universities in Indonesia. They were announced as the 2nd Winner. Let’s congratulate them!
3rd WInner of Management Competition 2022
Management Competition 2022 is an annual competition held by Universitas Mercu Buana. This national business competition brought up the following theme this year “Increasing the Development of Creativity and Innovation as a Strategic Solution in Business through Digital Transformation” Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students are always up to new challenges. Karenza Auriel Manatha (Finance & Banking 2021), Kenneth Tanmadibrata (Finance & Banking 2021), and Philea Evangelista Christy (Finance & Banking 2021) represented our university in this competition. These students must submit their proposal for preliminary judging and they successfully became one of the Top 10 Finalists. In this competition, the student team made a proposal for our public service innovation called e-Warga. e-Warga is an all-in-one platform that makes it easier for Indonesians to pay various basic bills such as taxes, PDAM, PLN, and others. In the final round on February 25th 2022, they presented their ideas and competed against team from Institut Teknologi Bandung, IPB, and 30 other well-known universities. 2nd Winner of MBS ECase Competition 2022
FEB Universitas Indonesia in collaboration with Top-BOSS International Corp and ICETECH organized a business strategy competition called MBS ECase Competition Indonesia 2022. This competition aims to introduce students to an inter-university platform that can demonstrate talent business skills with teamwork to optimize company needs with students' critical thinking. Students are asked to work in teams to solve a series of business challenges in a virtual business and strive to get the highest score and explain the analysis in presentation sessions. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya was represented by Hattasyah Alwi (Business 2019), Icha Hafsari (Accounting 2019), and Nurul Istikomah (Hospitality Business 2019). They formed a team named Competiverse. The competition has two rounds. In the Preliminary Round, each participating team analyzed information on a company and the business competition situation with competitors on the MBS platform. Then, they must determine a business strategy as a solution to the challenges faced by the company based on several values. The Competiverse team was one of the 10 Finalists. They continued to the Final Round. They must present on their business strategies for 5 minutes in front of judges from national and international levels. Hattasyah, Icha, and Nurul competed against teams from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Diponegoro, IBI Kesatuan, Universitas Andalas, and other universities. KSPM SV Universitas Gadjah Mada organized the Investment Research Competition 2022 (IRC). The theme this year is “Pemulihan Ekonomi Pasca Pandemi: Sebagai Upaya Menarik Milenial untuk Berinvestasi” (Post-Pandemic Economic Recovery: An Effort to Attract Millennials To Invest). The competition aimed higher education institution students from across Indonesia. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students continue to maximize their learning experience through competitions. Amanda Angelica (Finance & Banking), Audrey Celia (Finance & Banking), and Ferian Phungky (Finance & Banking) from batch 2021 and 2018. In this "Investment Research Competition", the students were required to research issuers in TLKM companies thoroughly, from fundamental to technical aspects as well as valuations and recommendations. Amanda, Audrey, and Ferian passed the preliminary round and became finalists. They presented their paper in the grand final on February 29th, 2022. They competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Semarang, and other universities in Indonesia. The hardwork of Amanda, Audrey, and Ferian won 1st Place. 2nd Winner of the 10th Master's Journey in Management Universitas Indonesia
Master’s Journey in Management is an annual competition held by MRC FEB Universitas Indonesia. The competition is a real case-study competition (business case). The theme for the 10th Master’s Journey in Management is “Paragon Corp: Innovation for the The Greater Good Indonesia.” The competition targeted master’s students across Indonesia and we are delighted to share with you that the Master’s full-time students also have the competitive drive like our undergraduate students. This time, we are represented by Michael Joshua (MMR 65) and Tiffany Julia (MMR 65). They competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, ITB, and PPM School of Management. Our representatives applied their knowledge and worked together while presenting their ideas. Their hard work lead them to winning 2nd place. Let’s congratulate Michael and Tiffany!
1st Winner of OCBC NISP Ventura National Investment Competition
OCBC NISP Ventura National Investment Competition (ONVic) is a nationwide investment competition for Indonesian students in Indonesia or abroad. It is organized by OCBC NISP Ventura. It is a venture capital arm of PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk, part of OCBC group. Through this competition, they are aiming to unleash the students’ competence in reading the market and building successful startups in the future. To participate in this competition, students are required to form a group of three. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students’ were up to the challenge. We have Bernadeta Soegiarto (Finance & Banking 2020), Janice Andreas (Finance & Banking 2020), and Sophia Kineta Djohan (Finance & Banking 2020) as our representatives in ONVic. They first submitted their work based on the given case for preliminary selection. They made it as one of the Top 50 where they are required to submit other paper. Bernadeta, Janice, and Sophia successfully went through to the Final Round where they also need to do a presentation. The benefit of joining this competition is that our students had the opportunity to be mentored by the expert. In the Final Round, they faced teams from Universitas Padjajaran, University of Sydney and other well-known universities in Indonesia. It wasn’t easy and it requires hardwork. Bernadeta, Janice and Sophia were announced as the 1st Winner. Let’s congratulate them!
1st Winner of Economic Innovation 3.0 Business Plan Competition in Universitas Pasundan
Economic Innovation 3.0 Business Plan Competition is an annual event organized by HIMASPA Universitas Pasundan. The competition is open for undergraduate students across Indonesia. The competition aims to increase insight and knowledge by seeing opportunities in building a business. The theme of the competition is “Technopreneurship sebagai Solusi untuk Mengembangkan Ide Wirausahawan di Era Post Pandemic” (Technopreneurship as a Solution to Develop Entrepreneurial Ideas in the Post Pandemic Era). Vivian Chou (Accounting 2019) participated in this competition with two friends who are students in Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Udayana. They created a tourism link platform called JalanKuy!. It aspires to create jobs for local tour guides by connecting the directly with local and foreign tourist. JalanKuy! is offering convenience for those who like to travel alone or go on vacation on the spur of the moment. Vivian and her friends submitted their proposal for preliminary selection. They became one of the Top 5 teams. In the final round, all teams must present their business idea which was held on March 4th, 2022. The creative idea and the hardwork paid off. Vivian and her friends were announced as the 1st winner. Let’s congratulate her!
2nd Winner of the 18th MIST Mini Research Paper and Conference by FEB Universitas Indonesia
MIST is a big and annual International Marketing Conference, Seminar and Training held by students of Faculty Economic and Business, Universitas Indonesia. They have three main events: seminar, training, and competition. The 18th MIST Mini Research Paper & Conference grand theme is “Redefining Marketing: Seizing Growth Opportunities Beyond Digital”. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya students will not miss this international level competition. Karenza Auriel Manatha (Finance & Banking 2021), Philea Evangelista Christy (Finance & Banking 2021), and Vanessa Indra Marcella (Finance & Banking 2021) teamed up and represented our university in this competition. In the preliminary round, Karenza, Philea, and Vanessa conducted research on Nike's current marketing efforts, especially on the effectiveness of their 'Dream Crazier' campaign by exploring the mediating role of organization-public relationships and brand loyalty as purchase intentions catalysts. Then in the final round, the students gave presentations on the results of research papers, solved a marketing case on how Bluebird builds affinity for the MZ generations, and represented the Amazon team in a summit debate that raised the theme of e-commerce as the future of direct-to-consumer transactions. They won 2nd place at this international level competition. Karenza Auriel Manatha, Philea Evangelista Christy, and Vanessa Indra Marcella competed against teams from Universitas Indonesia, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, Hague University of Applied Sciences Germany, Asia Pacific University Japan, and Victoria University of Wellington Australia.
